Overflowing roster!

It seems we have gone from having too few players to too many players to fit in a single raid.

So we'll need to come up with some sort of rotation to fit everyone in and ideally let people know when they will be sitting so that can pug SoO for the week if they want.

Current roster is as follows:

Not including subs we're at 12 raiders now. We will have to sit 1 healer and 1 ranged dps each week assuming everyone has perfect attendance.

Any thoughts on how to go about that? I'm not a fan of swapping people on a per boss basis because I don't think we can rely on people to sit there and wait for us to reach the boss they need and I think it will slow the raid down too much given that we're already running short on time.

And of course there's the danger of posting the roster for the week ahead of time and then an emergency comes up that prevents someone on the roster from raiding but we have no subs because they got themselves saved ahead of time.

What do you guys think?

It's called recruit for 25m. Gotta get to twenty for W.o.D. anyways and we will probably lose a few right after launch due to rage about how their classes have changed or for other random reasons.

20 man is going to be the wave of the future. While I am happy to warm the bench now, I myself will be looking forward to WoD and being on a raid roster, whether on the main team or through a second raid team. Although Heelios has always been my main, I can also consider my rogue or hunter for WoD (as I am SURE that death knights will be nerfed horribly and I will be raging about that).

Notwithstanding, it is not a bad situation to be in (having a full roster). And, being so close to the end of the xpac, I suspect attendance is going to be more and more of an issue anyway until WoD drops. Equally, fewer people are probably worried about running SoO each week outside of the raid, thereby keeping thier lockout free.

Having said that, perhaps changing the raid to Tues-Wed or Wed-Thurs would allow those who don't get into that weeks raid to know they can find another raid without worry? That may also open the door for a clean-up session on Sunday or Monday night if a 3rd night is needed.

Changing the raid dates won't work. There are people in raid that can only make Sunday/monday (myself included).

Also I let Glacie know that he would be coming with us this week, so let the people who are sitting know ahead of time.

Definitely not complaining about having more people than we need to raid every week. Just want to come up with a way to keep people happy even though they'll be sitting some weeks.

Recruiting for 25 man is probably too difficult at this point since we would need almost 20 more people (so we had subs in case of absences).

I'll try to set up the roster as early as possible each week so that people who will be sitting can make other arrangements (openraid or runs on the server, etc).

Also if it helps get more dpsers in I can sit first 8 no problemo. its not till Malk+ where ups for me are.

Trinks off Malk + Siegecrafter, Neck from Thok, are most important sides that I could prolly use some heroic tokens and off pieces but those are from second half not first.
