Extension time.

Slater and I were talking. A few ideas to throw around.

We waste so much raid time on the first bosses and honestly I really don't think it's viable to continue killing shit just to DE the bank is fucking full of DE mats to the point where Tink is now actively selling shit to open up space. The name of the game when we were founded was PROGRESSION and we are wasting our considerably short raid week on farm crap.

We could,

#1 rotate alts in to always have a lock on further bosses. All three of us have alts that can be brought in to save a lock and we also have Heelios who doesn't actively raid outside the guild that can save a lock for us(Smack me if I am speaking out of my ass Heelios but I don't think I have seen you raiding SoO outside of the guild)

#2 Instead of forming an "
alt"
group or second raid. Start up an openraid and just stop @ Juggie. Once the few that STILL need fucking trinkets are done fucking go further faster. It would be on normal so we whatever BUT if we set it to run as a 25m we may find people to join us in WoD. Perfect way for people to meet and greet kinda thing we can see performance they can see mega-leet-pro players. [size=75:1b57idkr]*"

Asking for input from the other people's. Maybe we overlooked an option or are missing a point or something. I would like us to have our ducks in a row so that whatever the decision is Slater has all our support. No second guessing crap.

MoP is winding down and we need to post some boss kills and ideally work towards a Garrosh kill. We do a great job of flying through the first 9 bosses but I agree it is a waste of time while we only have 2 nights available to raid as it doesn't allow us time to really work on progression fights. I do have my laptop with me on vac and while I can't raid on it I can bring my toons in to save a lockout if need be.

I'm incredibly bored of SoO at this point. Bored of the first 8 bosses on heroic at least. I get that everyone wants their absolute BiS gear but it's not needed in order to kill Garrosh. The first guilds to clear heroic Garrosh were doing it at like ilvl 555. We're 20 ilvls higher than that. Not saying that it will be easy but it will be an easier time than those guilds had.

I'm sure some people will be upset if we start extending every week. Especially since I think the way heroic lockouts work means that people won't be able to do the first 8 on heroic with another guild and then jump in with us on Sunday night at Malk or Spoils. I think heroic MoP raids still use the old Raid ID system from WotLK and Cata.

I think at this point it's mostly trinkets we're lacking (especially healing trinkets, I don't think we've seen any of them since the new people joined us). It would be awesome to have those but I think we're at the breaking point where people are just going to take a break until WoD or find another guild to kill heroic Garrosh. Especially when people like Ashe join an openraid group on Monday night and get a heroic Thok kill! Sad that he killed it in a semi-pug (think he said that 8 of them were from the same guild and 2 pugs) and we haven't even seen it yet.

So, we need to find the cut off point and start there every week or just hit extend every week. I'm selfish so I think the cut off should be heroic Juggs. Either start with him every week (since there's no trash) or start with him already dead (since Shamans drops 2 trinkets and a healing main hand). On the other hand, that only saves us about 80 minutes on a good week. We've been clearing the first 6-7 bosses very quickly lately so maybe that means we need to start at Malk to really see the time savings.

I just want to be at the point where Monday night is entirely progression, which means starting Mondays at Spoils. Some weeks we are capable of killing the first 9 in one night, some weeks we wipe on Immerseus for an hour. The inconsistency makes it difficult to decide between extension and starting fresh.

I think the best bet to save our alts at various bosses and start from them each week depending on how I feel. haha I am tempted this week to extend from 2 weeks ago (sidenote for Cheeko we didn't raid at all last week. Sunday was cancelled and we only had 6 people show up for monday night). We'll be missing Cheeko's cleave but we'll have an extra teleport and I think the teleport is more important than the cleave damage.

Based on what Ashe said the other night I don't think Thok will be too difficult. We out gear it significantly at this point. Siegecrafter however is going to take 100 wipes to get down so the sooner we can start working on that the better.

Yeah I absolutely agree. It's skill versus gear. We are wayyyyy over geared for this content so we should start fully extending so we can start working on putting up new boss kills. Anyone who complains about not having gear and would rather spend time on farm bosses instead of posting up new kills is in the wrong group.

Sorry for the lateness of my reply. While I have never seen you speak out of your ass (a feat I would be interested in seeing, by the way), you are correct that I do not raid outside of our guild. I could help to extend the lock.

And... if peeps are getting upset at a lock out extension, you have a DK that hasn't raided in 4 weeks now... <img src=" title="Smile" />
