Sooo... uh... what do we do now?

On our 150th pull we killed Heroic Garrosh and finally closed out the longest tier in WoW history. That is freaking awesome. I'm so happy to say that we're 14/14 heroic and that we did it.

But, what do we do now?

We've got a lot of stuff to think about in the next few days leading up to raid this coming Sunday. Here's a big list of things to think about heading into this week and in the weeks ahead leading up to WoD launch.

Between now and 6.0 launch

- With the announcement that the pvp season is about to end I think it's safe to guarantee that 6.0 will drop on October 14th. That gives us two more raid lockouts to kill Garrosh again and get more Cutting Edge achievements. I would like to kill him at least once for Iffi and Ashe since they've been raiding in Sadistic since we started and deserve that FoS.

- Does anyone have a lockout at Garrosh or at least deep into SoO? Remember that if you came with us for Garrosh progression and have been saving that lock it's empty now. The heroic lockout system is different from Normal mode. So it would need to be a toon that went with another group that didn't kill Garrosh.

- If we don't have a lockout obviously we need to start fresh next week. Ideally I'd like to bring in a couple of people who aren't fully decked out in heroic SoO gear and try to get them some pieces before 6.0. We'll "
carry"
those people until we hit a roadblock (probably around Thok) and then carry on from there with the intention of killing Garrosh once more before 6.0

- Do we want to just "
take it easy"
and have a more relaxed raid environment for a few weeks now that the hard part is over?


6.0 to WoD launch

- Once 6.0 hits we need 20 people to raid SoO. We will continue to recruit during this time, hopefully we get more bites now that we're 14/14. It is also cross realm-able so we'll be able to bring in friends to help fill out our ranks and to try out new recruits.

- There is no confirmation yet but I am thinking that Garrosh will drop 2 mounts in 6.0 since 25 man raids currently see 2 mounts. That means we could potentially get 8 mounts between 6.0 and WoD.

- A lot of people are main switching or role switching in WoD. Should we start bringing in those toons in 6.0 so people can get used to the class changes or stick with the comp we have to get more Garrosh kills?


Some things to think about:


- Do you want to continue to push hard all the way to WoD launch as far as killing Garrosh goes? IE Attempt to clear it every week and extend if we don't get it down.

- Would you rather spend time gearing up the toon you are levelling in WoD and/or gearing up/trying out new recruits?

- I feel like I had more thoughts and questions to put here but can't remember them at the moment.

- Does Iffi's rage motivate you or terrify you?

Feel free to post in this thread with your thoughts about the remainder of 5.4 and how we should spend our time between 6.0 and WoD launch but remember that ultimately the call is mine to make.

Personally I'd love to see the entire fight for real, the only reason I am buying a kill is because I had no idea if I would ever be subbed in and I figured I would never get the mount through the guild, so that's what I would like to do.

tl;
dr I wanna raid.

I am all for taking it easy, I got a crap-ton of things to do pre-WoD. I can run on my priest to get more gear for 6.0 if that is the route the group goes, if not I openraid my priest like a true whore anyways.

I don't care about the F.o.S. I lost all interest weeks ago, thanks cogentco. But yeah seriously, I think the first two pulls of H. Paragons was Iffi's last raid.

Well, depending on the final choice I am always around with my shammy to help heal (and meh dps in gear reforged/gemmed for healing) depending on what comp you want to bring in to test recruits and gear next expansions mains. Just let me know a few days in advance if you go down that path so I don't plan something for Sunday night and have you guys plan to bring me in to clear stuff lol.

I'd love to get the Wife (Sephel) Back in to the roll of playing her Paladin...however she has been out of the loop for since early SoO and might need the carry...

I only say this to get those who are switching, comming back, Joining their looms for leveling alone with their AOTC mounts. (Just a example)

From now until 6.0 I would prefer to maximize my time on my intended main for WoD. He is ilvl 563 so the carry wouldn't be as hard but its still a carry. I am sure a lot of people are thinking the same thing, and I know that there are some of us who want to get the Feat of Strength. I am looking to retire Jilliumz asap but I can postpone that if we still have some Garrosh lock outs or something close. If we do more fresh runs of Heroic SoO, I wouldn't mind sitting except for the ones where my paladin might be needed. But I am still ready to give 100% effort to those who need it. From 6.0 to WoD, that all depends on what happens in the next few days. If I get to play something other than my paladin, wonderful, if not, all good. This xpac was the 1st time I have raided with a real raiding guild/team let alone doing Heroic content. I am happy with my progress as a player, and while these old bones are indeed weary, I still got one last fight left in me if need be.

Call me greedy and stuff I guess, but I really want the FoS, so I would like to try to get at least that before 6.0. Its one of the things that matters to me most, is clearing the content before the end of the expac and having something to show for it. Im extremely worried about Siegecrafter still. And slightly paragons though " title="Sad" />

I honestly would just buy the kill for the FoS if I could, but its the end of the expac and I'm broke as can be. And within 2 weeks I really cant make the gold with work and other irl activities.

But with 2 lockouts I think we would be able to budge through them and hopefully execute another Heroic Garrosh kill.

As for 6.0 to WoD, If we can get garrosh this week or next week, then every week in 6.0 to WoD, assuming he drops 2 mounts for mythic, then our entire core team would still be able to get mounts if you put the limitations on that.

As for bringing in toons for people main switching in 6.0, I think we can carry them until we hit that wall where we just cant progress. Like you said, around Thok or so.

After 6.0 drops if we want to get the core the mounts (still assuming it drops 6.0) then we can focus on killing Heroic Garrosh. If not worried about that, we can take it a bit easier and just worry about carrying some new mains through and progressing onto normal when we hit that wall.

Continuing what Ashe said, I should also say that I am obviously willing to sit for people who need the FoS as after Sunday I won't need it. I would just purely be interested in doing the fight on the toon I invested the most amount of time on this tier for real to feel like I earned it, that's about it really, but like always I'll just go with the flow and be fine with whatever happens lol.

I would love to keep killing Garrosh until Warlords Launches.

We need to quickly and efficiently get back to Garrosh so that we can get another kill in for Ashe and Iffi especially since they have been here since day 1. I have a few recruits who I would like to trial on certain bosses just to see how they handle their toon.

From 6.0 on we will be bringing in some new people but we also have open raid to help facilitate our raiding needs.
